New Qualification Method
If you have a significant scheduling conflict or other significant hardship that makes you unable to attend the Online Qualifier, you can request to get approval to count the Ziggy April Tournament toward one of your winning records.

Currently, one way to qualify for our Online Championships is by having two winning records in your debate event throughout the season. Students that have only a single winning record would have to attend The Online Qualifier (and get another winning record at that tournament) to qualify for Nationals.
We’ve had a few students notify us that they have conflicts with the Online Qualifier, such as having non-movable AP tests during the same time. To aid students in situations like these, we’ve added an additional qualification criterion:
If you are unable to attend the online qualifier due to a significant scheduling conflict or other significant hardship, a winning record from Ziggy’s April Tournament can stand as one of the two winning records required for Championship Qualification. You must email us and explain why you are unable to attend the qualifier if you want approval through this criteria.
You can see this page for a list of some examples of what would and what would not qualify as a “significant scheduling conflict or other significant hardship.”
